Choice and Consent (BSc, PGCE, MSc)

The founder of choice and consent has 15 years of experience working with children across a variety of roles. They began their journey as a compassionate residential care worker in care homes for abused children, they developed a profound understanding of the delicate and complex issues surrounding sexuality and interpersonal relationships. Subsequently taking a role as the programme leader for a youth development programme and for the last decade they have been a fully qualified secondary teacher, across 3 continents, in the UK, Middle East and Asia.

Currently, they are the comprehensive sexuality education lead teacher engaged in interpretating the new curriculum and designing the materials for delivery to students aged 11-18. In addition, they have provided training for educators and workshops for parents to empower both to engage in open and honest discussions surrounding sensitive topics.

In a pastoral role, both staff and student wellbeing have always been a central focus, recognising that positive teaching experiences occur in settings where both teacher and student are well set up for their own roles within a school.
